Internet marketing profile spoofer?

Given the extent to which targeted ads have penetrated, I am curious if anything like a profile spoofer has been developed, doing things like (I imagine) opening/lingering on websites correlated with certain demographics, blocking or randomizing what usage is not anonymous, so on.

The question here is mostly "is there anything like this" as I know of nothing beyond adblockers, but if there are several then recommendations are good too.

I think that "obfuscation" is the term you want to search for. Here's an article from Wired from the end of last year which mentions the work of Helen Nissenbaum. Her work includes the browser extensions AdNauseum (which clicks all the adds) and TrackMeNot (which is more the kind of thing you're after but development on it appears minimal.)
