What should I do/see while I'm in Detroit?

I've got two days. I like live music, local food, and art. Looking for a lodging recommendation, too. Thanks!

Detroit Institute of Arts Museum is great (and luckily wasn't sold off). Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit is also pretty cool, depending on the exhibit.

The Henry Ford Museum is in Dearborn and amazing and isn't far, but I don't know how far you want to go outside of Detroit itself since you only have two days (although ... the whole "Detroit" area is pretty big -- and I'm assuming you'll have a car. Stuff isn't particularly spread out, necessarily, but just expect to drive quite a bit).

The Detroit Zoo is one of the best zoos I've been to, if that's a thing you're interested in.

Michigan has a lot of good beer -- that's not so much Detroit-specific, thought, but if "beer" is a part of "local food," there is much to enjoy.

Heidelberg.
Pierogis and Disneyland in Hamtramck.
Cliff Bells for good music in beautiful club.
Walk around and check out some sweet graffiti.
Explore the old Packard plant.
Catch a tigers game, DIA, and the Henry Ford museum. While in Dearborn for Ford, get your fill of some of the best Middle Eastern food in the States.

Fowling Warehouse in Hamtramck is pretty cool and a recentish fun thing to do in Detroit.

The breakfast restaurant in The Dime building, aka Chrysler house has delicious breakfasts plus there's a Bon Bon Bon store in the same bldg.

My GF and I had a nice stay in The David Whitney buildling a couple months ago.

Sunday Brunch at Wright & Company is pretty great with a fixed menu and creative cocktails. The building was also featured in the recent Superman vs Batman movie as Lois' apartment.

Lastly, I really enjoy the Cuban fare at Vicente's, plus they have Salsa Dancing on Friday's & Saturday's.

Belle Isle Conservatory & Aquarium.
