GG Allin on the radio - fact or fiction?

Decades ago, when I was working at a college radio station in Canada, I was told that after GG Allin's death a rogue college radio broadcaster (at a station in the Maritimes?) fully devoted his drive time slot to the art of GG Allin and the Murder Junkies. The fallout was allegedly priceless.

I can't find any internet evidence to support this; leading me to believe that this was a college radio nursery tale. Has anyone else heard tell of such an occurrence?

Best answer: The only incident I could find was this one in Michigan from 1990. So, a few years before his death.
