Book recommendation on funerary and memorial practices

I'm interested in learning more about funerary rituals and memorials for the dead in different cultures. Can anyone recommend any good texts? This is a wide-ranging inquiry, so all cultures and historical periods are welcome.
I am by no means an expert in the field, but I enjoyed Drew Gilpin Faust's Republic of Suffering.

Sorry for the drip-drab of recommendations. I minored in early modern death and am slowly remembering some texts. There are a few at the tip of my tongue (door of my sepulcher?) that I'm trying to remember.
The Hour of Our Death: History of Western Attitudes Toward Death over the Last One Thousand Years
The King's Two Bodies (although you probably only need a few chapters from this one looking at the difference between the natural body and the political body)

Smoke Gets in Your Eyes: And Other Lessons from the Crematory by Caitlin Doughty is an interesting look into the modern (mostly American) funeral practices...focusing primarily on cremation but she also goes into other practices.
