Office gathering + RPi2 + MAME + 2 controllers = fun?

I need suggestions for Raspberri Pi 2 compatible ( via RetroPi ) MAME games ( available via archive.org ) that would work well for two players. Fighting games. Collaborative games. I don't care. Just need a handful that might be fun for an office of IT workers.

So many to choose from... here are some favorites, though:

Contra
Heavy Barrel
Metal Slug
Ikari Warriors
Simpsons
Gauntlet
Street Fighter
Mortal Kombat


I'd also set up NES for Tecmo Bowl and Ice Hockey.

RetroPie has support for a wide swath of emulation, including an atari VCS/2600 emulator, so why not Combat ?
