How do I purchase Amazon Mom for my friend?

My friend is expecting her first baby soon (yay!) and I would love to get her and her husband an Amazon Mom account! How does that work? Is that the same thing as gifting an Amazon Prime account? Possibly relevant: we are in Canada.

Has Amazon Mom been rebranded as Amazon Family? This is the only thing I can find. Also, it's not clear to me how I can buy the membership for someone else. Please hope me, my brain is too frazzled from my dissertation to figure out their website.

Amazon Mom is now Amazon Family. Amazon Family provides Prime members exclusive family-oriented offers, coupons, age-based recommendations, 20% off diaper subscriptions and a 15% Baby Registry completion discount.

Yes, it has. It looks like all your friend has to do is create a child profile when she signs up for Prime. And on your part, send her "the gift of Prime" and let her know what you expect her to do.

Response by poster: OK, great, thanks.

I'm looking around the amazon.ca website, but not seeing any obvious buttons for the gift of Prime. Maybe the gift of Prime is US-only...?

Hmm... Yeah, that seems to be the case. It's really easy on the .com site.

Please note that Amazon Prime does not include all the perqs of the US Prime.
