How to find apartment rentals for April 1st?

Hi everyone; I have to find an apartment in the area of Whitby,Ajax,Pickering or Oshawa Ontario for April 1,for my job. Would anyone know of a web site that only looks for apartments in the future(April 1)? Everytime I look I end up on Kijiji or Craig's list. Is there a "trick"to search better for this? Thanks :-)

Try posting a wanted ad on Kijiji. They are common, and landlords do read and respond to them.

The property management company websites are pretty good for this. Off the top of my head, I can't think of too many that operate in Durham Region, but Cap REIT has properties in Pickering.

You may have some luck with MLS for rentals: www.realtor.ca. Input your criteria and browse away!

you'll likely have better luck after march 1st.

In Ontario renters have to provide at least 60 days notice, so April vacancies have been posted for about three weeks now.

Have you tried ViewIt.ca?
