Help me find two songs from the impossible soundtrack

Many years ago, back in 2008 or 2009, I watched a movie called The Bilbee Boys on some shady no-name video streaming site. It wasn't a great movie but there were two songs on the soundtrack that I loved. I am looking for those songs.

Here is what I've done over the years to track them down:

1) scoured the end credits (on a low def recording, this was a labor of love) for soundtrack info

2) joined myspace just to send a message to the band (Tinderbox) listed in the credits

3) received email (like a year later) from Tinderbox saying yes they had music in the movie, but were NOT responsible for the two songs I liked

4) sent a number of messages through the contact form on the movie's (now defunct) website but never heard back

It's been probably two or three years now since I last tried to track this down (I kept trying on and off) and I thought of it again this morning. It seems all of the trails have gone cold but if there's ANY way any of you guys can find these songs for me, I would be eternally grateful.

Both of the songs in question involved whistling and I think zero vocals. I don't even remember the tunes at this point, but I'd know them if I heard them I think. If anyone has this movie lying around their house (ha...), the pieces in question were during the supermarket scene and while walking down the street on the way to a shop.

DVD is for sale here but the streaming via Amazon option seems to be no more.

Response by poster: Assume I'm familiar with Amazon. I'm not interested in buying this terrible movie I don't want to watch again on the off chance I missed something when reading the credits seven years ago. I am looking for the music from the movie.

Well, the most obvious answer is to Shazam the song. If you're "not interested in buying this terrible movie" then get a 1-month DVD plan on Netflix for $5.

OK, one last suggestion for you. It turns out that a young Leonardo DiCaprio is in this movie and it was his first. So maybe you can hit up the Leonites on some fan website and ask them, since they're more likely to own it.

Response by poster: Sorry, I should have been more clear. I *strongly suspect* this music is not something shazamable and I'm 95% sure it was uncredited in the movie. (The little bit there is on the movie suggests that crediting was an absolute clusterfuck.)

I think the avenue I need to go down is contacting the director or production company, which is what I was trying to do years ago through the website. I have no idea how to do that.

So I guess my questions are

1) is there any chance anyone here knows this music (it's not outside the realm of possibility that it was made by one of the vast network of mefites+friends)

2) if not, how do I contact someone involved with making this movie

Best answer: You can find contact info for David Ulery - Production Assistants / PA here. His blurb includes this: "I have worked on films such as The Family Project and The Bilbee Boys."

Response by poster: I just sent David Ulery an email! I'm still eager for any more suggestions here; my track record for getting anybody involved to care about this is pretty dismal. THANK YOU.

Response by poster: David replied very quickly--he has no idea but gave me the email address for the director so I've reached out to him.

Fingers crossed!

Response by poster: I heard back from the director! He doesn't remember the songs offhand but said he'll probably remember when he watches the movie again. Stay tuned.

p.s. He also asked me if I was in the film, which confirms my suspicion that I am one of maybe four people in the world unaffiliated with the movie who have actually seen it.

phunniemee, that's even funnier/sadder when you consider that even the director doesn't know who was in his own film!

Response by poster: I know, right!? I got his email last night on the train and laughed so hard that people stared at me in the way folks always stare at the unhinged transit person.

Best answer: YAY!

The director emailed me last night saying he attached a file, is this one of them, and YES, MY FRIENDS, IT IS!!

He's still trying to hunt down the other one, but for your listening pleasure please enjoy this happy little whistling tune, Whistling Kisses by Joi Veer.

Best answer: The director was able to track down the second song as well! I don't remember this one quite as clearly as the whistling one but I'm pretty sure it is indeed the one I had been wondering about. It's Everything by Scoville Unit.

Thanks, MonkeyToes, for finding that bit of contact info! I think the guys were pretty tickled to learn that anyone else had seen their movie and it was neat getting to talk to them.
