Did I hurt my penis by using a cock ring?

I have an odd feeling in the head of my penis. Should I be worried or is it no big deal?
A few weeks ago I used a cock ring while masturbating. Since then I've had an odd feeling in the head of my penis. It's a feeling inside the opening in the head of the penis, sort of a very mild irritation to the lining of the opening, but deep inside. It doesn't hurt or itch, it's just a feeling that's there. I wouldn't even be worried about it except that it's been there for a few weeks.
I am a 52 year old healthy monogamous het male with no history of STDs.
Any information or insight, especially from men who have experienced this, would be welcome.

Best to get it checked by your doctor in case. Maybe injury, maybe UTI, maybe undiagnosed STI, maybe just one of those things that happens.

Have you had your blood sugar and/or hemoglobin A1c checked recently? Pre-diabetes/type 2 diabetes can manifest as neuropathy in the extremities, and that includes the penis. I used to do clinical research and a lot of the men who reported this also referred to the sensation like you're referring to it--not painful, just... weird.
Otherwise, have you used the cockring before? Or cockrings generally before? Were you using lube, lotion, etc.? Were you using other toys at the same time? I ask because really tight cockrings can make it much easier for substances that might be irritants to reach deeper sections of your urethra than is otherwise easily done. Likewise, the materials used in things like Fleshlights can cause skin irritation reactions, and irritated tissue is left open for infection. And, as a reminder, urethral infections don't always hurt.
If it's been hanging around for weeks, I'd say a visit to your general physician is in order. And ask him to check your blood sugar while you're at it.
(But, no, the odds are that you didn't break your dick by using a cockring.)

Yeah, this sounds to me like an irritated urethra, which (for me) usually goes away on its own but can also be an impending-UTI thing.
