Laquer touch ups, scared!

My kitchen was redone a year and a half ago. We installed custom cabinets that were lacquer finished. I was home during the entire process and know that they did a very good and thorough job.
Yet, now a year and a half later with two kids running on all cylinders, there are MANY spots that need touch ups, most small, some not so small (two to three inches long of chipped or worn corners)
How shall I begin? I was recommended to use these, which makes sense, I have plenty of the original paint, but is there anything else I need to be aware of before I prep and paint all these little areas? Is there anything I can do to make these trouble spots more resilient?
Thanks

Oh wow, that looks really bad. It looks like the HDF/MDF wasn't primed properly. Do you still have your contracts from your kitchen remodel? Now would be a good time to review them.
Either way, I would not touch any of this until you've spoken to the original suppliers and installers and have had the contractor send an inspector to evaluate the damage in person.
