Dumb Amazon Affiliate question? Where is the short amazon URL?

I was listening to the Question of the Day podcast and heard them plugging their Amazon affiliate url: earwolf.com/amazon which redirects to a surprisingly short Amazon url... Did I miss that short Amazon url when I signed up as an affiliate? Does metafilter have a short amazon affiliate URL? Is it just amazon.com/?tag=metafilter-20 ...?

Best answer: Yes, just the tag-parameter would be enough for affiliation, just use your ID instead of metafilter or earwolf (the -20 will always be there). More details here and here.
