Name This Nest

An elderly relative and recent widow is moving into a small assisted living apartment after 40 years in rural, mountain top home with her retired Air-Force husband. The previous home was "The Aerie". The new one needs name.

Some starting points for naming:
- The previous (and beloved home) was the Aerie (an eagle's nest) so a bird/nest related name other animal's home would work
- Family ties to medicine, especially ophthalmology so a medical or eye tie-in is a possibility
- She speaks German and Japanese and is especially fond of Japanese culture. A Jewish or Yiddish reference might work too.
- It should sound natural to say "I'm going back to the ___ now". For example, I think "su", the Japanese word for nest sounds odd in an English sentence like that.

Best answer: The coop? The warren? The rookery? Thr owlery? Because now she's living in a building with many others.

Best answer: Bärenhöhle, for bear cave. She's moving from light & airy to warm & cozy, and what could be cozier than a bear cave?

I really like 'the rookery' because it's a nice but ever so slightly snarky combo of the old (mountain house with beautiful view) and the new (apartment building). It has a nice ring to it as well.

Response by poster: I just love, love, love the dovecote - perfect for a grandmotherly lady sharing a home with others.
I will also pass along Bärenhöhle and Gotande's suggestions (as well as "hatogoya" 鳩小屋 which seems to be japanese for dovecote). If she doesn't get excited about those, I will have plenty of other suggestions up my sleeve. The rookery? the drey? the roost? I won't run out of ideas. Thanks, everyone.
