Anyone have experience with an online/hybrid EdD program?

Has anyone out there completed an online or hybrid doctoral program, and can you share your thoughts and experiences?
I just finished a master's in higher ed, and I want to push through to a doctorate while I'm still in marathon mode. I don't see myself pursuing a faculty role, so three-ish years in a practice-based Doctor of Education course seems like what I'm looking for.
There aren't many affordable options near me, and I do work full-time, so I'm looking into low- or no-residency programs in fields like Leadership, Instructional Technology, or Administration.
Has anyone started or completed an online or hybrid EdD program at any school? Was it worth the time and expense? If you have thoughts, recommendations, or horror stories, I'd love to hear them.
Thanks, all.
