Finding European deodorant?

My SO picked up a few sticks of Axe roll-on deodorant while in Europe this summer. I figured they'd make good stocking stuffers this Christmas, but can't seem to find a place that will ship to America. Any ideas?

not direct help, sorry, but do you realise that Axe is just a moderately low priced cosmetics line aimed at young men? it's the same as lynx in the uk and is produced by unilever.

anyway, it's popular in latin america as well as europe, so you may find it available in local stores that target any local spanish-speaking community.

Axe is sold in the US. It seems to be a rebrand of Lynx, which is the European equivalent (at least here in the UK).

I've seen Axe sprays and roll-on deodorant in most grocery stores in L.A. FWIW.

I think 12v is specifically talking about the roll on(with the little plastic ball on a bottle of liquid), not sprays or sticks. I was surprised to see the amount of roll-ons in Europe this summer. Wish I could help more....

Best answer: OC, your link to a search at Walgreen's brings back 24 Axe products, not one of which is a roll-on.

Following andrew cooke's and wackybrit's tip that Axe is branded as Lynx in Europe, a Froogle search for lynx deodorant roll-on brings back Weston's, which appears to ship to the U.S.

Compare the corporate sites for Axe and Lynx. (Warning: both are obnoxious Flash sites more concerned with promoting their brand image than providing useful information.) No roll-on products listed anywhere on the Axe site, as far as I can tell; the Lynx site does note roll-on products.

Better Froogle search: removing "deodorant" from my previous search brings back additional relevant results.

Jesus, relax. I didn't know that she specifically wanted a roll-on because I wouldn't have even thought application methods were an issue. I just thought she wanted that brand of deodorant.

You're right; I should have found a way of pointing that out without jumping down your throat, more like the way ikareru phrased it. My apologies.

Bear in mind it's spelt deodourant in the UK.

it is?! i don't have a dictionary with me, but that looks odd to me (and yes, i spell odour "odour"). and i know it's not exactly a reliable reference, but google gives only around 700 hits for that.

I would be quite bemused to receive deodorant as a stocking stuffer.

Is that a joke?!

If I got that as a stocking-stuffer I would think the giver was trying to imply I needed to use deodorant, and I probably wouldn't appreciate it.

But then again, I am not male, and maybe a male would enjoy getting Axe deodorant in the Christmas stocking. Just something to consider, though.

"Deodourant" in the UK; "d'odourante" in France.

No it's not

Really? 'Smellies' are a mainstay of the stocking in the UK. Anyway, a fair few 'British stores' for expats sell Lynx roll-ons, though not the full range and at a mark-up that covers the cost of getting them over to the US. You pays your money... (This gives me an idea for MetaProjects.)

Wow. Talk about a cultural difference. I would be pissed off if someone put deodorant in my Christmas stocking. What else do you "Brits" put in those things?
