where can I buy pants/shorts designed like this

I found this pair of shorts at a thrift stores years ago and absolutely love them. They are the most comfortable pair of shorts I have ever worn, and I have just about worn them out. I would very much appreciate any thoughts on how to find this specific design, material, and where to find/buy information you may have! Thanks in advance!

They are men's shorts obviously, but as a women, they fit me great! I cannot find anything like them anywhere in the stores (Los Angeles, CA area). The original manufacturer is Billabong, but I have contacted them and these shorts are discontinued. I have little knowledge of clothes design so would not even know how to google them by design. They are canvas material I think, the waist is tapered, and they are loose fitting. Very well made!

Best answer: The fabric appears to be cotton twill, if that helps at all in your searching.

Best answer: I have a great pair of shorts that are cut just right, and I find it nearly impossible to define why. That said, try Patagonia canvas shorts, which are cut for ease of movement. They aren't cheap, but they last nearly forever.

Best answer: Sewing magazines regularly have articles on turning Perfect Discontinued Clothes into sewing patterns, usually by tracing or chalk-rubbing. So, if you never find a replacement, you can probably get them copied. Won't be cheap, but you'll have the pattern forever.

Best answer: Pleat-front? vs flat-front. Also the manufacturer uses the same specs (generally) so another style from them might suit you.

Best answer: Find a seamster who can remake the pattern and choose the same fabric.
