Electrician needed

Electrician needed. Can anyone recommend an electrician in the knoxville Tennessee area? Work is on an older house, installing 3 pronged outlets, and outside light installation. Thanks!

You're gonna have to be super lucky for the hive to help with this local question.

I highly recommend joining Angie's List. The $10-$20 it costs to join is easily made up after you hire your first contractor. This site has saved me thousands of dollars--probably around $4K in the last year alone.

One of the contractors I found on AL ended up giving me a bid that was half of what I was getting before and did EXCELLENT work.

AL is biased towards more expensive contractors who do premium work. This makes sense because premium work is always going to get the best reviews by the most excited homeowners [because they paid premium dollars]. However, if you wade through the options you can balance out this natural bias and find a whole range of people.

At the end of the day, even if you don't get a super deal, it's nice to know you're getting a fair rate for work that is vetted.
