I can remember nearly all the details of this episode apart from what show it was and which characters were involved and it's driving me insane!

Shame to waste my question on this but here goes.

I think the series was one of those investigate crime ones. One of the team is kidnapped and left with a phone running out of battery so s/he can talk to the team but it's time-limited. S/he can smell fumes where they are.

They arrange a meet with the kidnapper at an abandoned garage but the kidnappee doesn't appear to be there so they arrest the kidnapper and take him into custody.

He appears to be a little obsessed with a female member of the team and she uses a chair to wedge herself in the interrogation room with him to try and get information about the kidnappee. They don't get any useful information but as the kidnapper is taken away, he screams something about never lying to her.

This leads to them realising the kidnappee was at the drop but s/he was inside the garage, locked inside the mechanics pit. They make it there in time and rescue him/her.

It's insane that I can remember this much detail and not the characters (and I'm hoping this isn't my deranged imagination). Please help me! I have tried every google search I can think of to no avail.

I have seen that episode too. I'm pretty sure the show is CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (the one set in Las Vegas). I will try to narrow it down.

It sounds a bit like this two part episode: Living Doll and Dead Doll.

I also thought it might be the CSI episode where Nick is kidnapped and held in a plastic "coffin."

This vaguely sounds like an episode of Flashpoint to me, but I can't figure out which one. I thought the kidnappee was Sargeant Parker, if that helps. Is that a show you have watched?

This sounds a lot like an episode of Bones, maybe "Aliens in a Spaceship"?

Was also thinking one of the Grave Digger episodes of Bones.
