In case you didn't notice, there's a theme

My awesome and amazing sister is throwing me a baby shower for Baby Kitty who is destined to arrive this winter. Help us with themes, food, drinks, decorations, etc etc.

We are thinking a "Baby it's Cold Outside" theme for the baby shower, but are open to many suggestions.

To give an idea of what we're thinking -

Drinks
1.) "milk and cookie" martinis for me and white russians/baileys served in martini glasses with cookie garnish for guests.
2.) a hot chocolate bar with liqueur to add (butterscotch, coffee, peppermint)
3.) a hot cider bar?

I am open to ALL additional fun/winter themed drinks, particularly ones that can easily be made non-alcoholic. What neat drink ideas do you have for winter?

Food
Literally nothing. This will be an afternoon tea kind of affair for 20-30 people. So enough food to work as a meal, but probably more finger food? Give me your best recipes!

Activities
I HATE baby shower games with a passion. Like, they are evil. I like onesie/block decorating, guess the date, present bingo cards, but if anyone comes near my belly with string or toilet paper, he/she is losing an eye.

Can you think of any wintery games we could play that aren't disgusting/condescending/humiliating? The shower will be indoors, most likely at a restaurant/private room thing.

Decorations
Snowflakes? Pinecones? kind of all I have. If you have an awesome winter theme that we can play off of - please suggest that too!

Thank you Hivemind for being WAY more creative than I am. Pinterest hasn't been much help, and I am far from being Martha Stewart.

Have people make snowflakes out of fancy scrapbook-type paper that you'll hang from the ceiling of the baby's room with fishing line, like a mobile but all around the room. We did this at my friend's shower with stars in the nursery colors (it was a space-themed nursery) and everyone wrote a wish for the baby on their star ("wish upon the star") and it was very sweet. You could just have people having fun cutting up stars, or people could write good thoughts for the baby ... a flurry of happiness or something.

Another activity I did very successfully at a shower is, I wrote a little children's story in advance, about the specific baby and her family, going on an adventure, and then everyone got a sheet of paper with their page's words and a square in which to illustrate the page and I brought a box of crayons and a bunch of colored pencils. Everyone signed their page. After the shower we scanned all the pages and added the text and had it printed up by blurb.com as a children's book. It's really nice to look back and see all the pictures drawn by good friends, with varying levels of drawing ability! You could make this wintery by writing a little winter adventure, or a story of a baby doing winter activities (sledding, building a snow fort, ice skating, etc.).

Just let people talk if they know each other and don't inflict formal activities/games.

Recent shower I attended had each guest bring a children's book instead of a card and write an inscription. Also the dad sat with mom and opened presents at one shower that I really liked.

I know you said Pinterest isn't much help but so many baby-themed decorations if that is of interest - surprisingly cute babies made from fruit salad, babies made from veggies with dip, if girl then pink tutu around punch bowl or used as decoration on drink table, flowers made from onesies.
