Washable, Warm, Winsome (in that order) Women's Winter Wear

Washable: Will wash and dry at home every 1-2 weeks. Warm: Minneapolis, MN. Winsome: Flexible on specific styles, but aesthetics are important to me. I'm not sure what's trending this winter, but I'm ready to branch out from my puffer coat phase. Women's: Early 30's eclectic, post-hipster 5' 8" slim-ish build lady. Winter Wear: Coat or Parka, casual. (Overcoats need not apply).

Budget is around $150.The washability is the highest priority. Must be machine dryable as well.

Bonus: Suggestions for boy's (3T-6) and men's coats that meet the washability requirement are welcome as well.

I love this coat so much. Fully machine washable and dryable (I do mine once a month), waterproof, super duper warm. I don't know about "fashionable" but its innocuous.

This is the time of year that Macy's and Herberger's tend to have some great winter coats out that are both warm and fashionable.

What do you think about this Calvin Klein Hooded Quilted Jacket? I'd definitely try it on to see if it feels warm or not. To me, the accentuation of the waist is what makes it more flattering than standard puffer jackets. It is tough to find winter coats that don't make us look extra bulky.

Here's another one that is long (to make sure you don't have the low-back chills while bending over to deal with small children).

I lean towards wool coats for the winter, but they aren't washable. Dry-clean-able, though. And, to be honest, I've had my wool pea coat (similar to this one) for 5? years and haven't ever washed it or dry-cleaned it, and I wear it every day in the winter.

For snowbank sitting, I have a snowboarding coat (TJ Maxx has some good stuff this time of year for cheaper snowboarding pants and jackets) that includes an extra elastic "skirt" I think it's called you can button to help keep snow out of your jacket.

For kids, so far I've had good luck hitting up Once Upon A Child to pick up a used winter jacket. Target seems to have pretty decent winter wear for kids, too, in my experience.

This City Anorak from Land's End looks cute with good ratings on fit and warmth. Machine washable. They're doing a sale where you get $50 off purchases $150 or more, so it comes down to $109 from $159.

Their Squall Insulated Parka is a bit pricier and more style neutral, but keeps you a bit warmer. With the sale, $129 from $179.

The MacKenzie Jacket from Eddie Bauer is currently $126 and has a slim cut. Also machine washable.

I got this coat (or one very similar) last year and it was like I was warm for the first time in 15 years of living in Minnesota. It's washable except for the trim. I felt stylish enough although I'm a 40ish hippie lady so ymmv. Don't forget the Lands End outlets in town, I got a great deal on my coat at the one in Richfield near the REI.
