What are these Germans saying?

By no means do I need a word-for-word translation or anything, but what is generally going on in this video? That is, what is the gist of what the introducer is saying, and when Pit Hartling comes on stage, what is he explaining about the Rubik's Cube before he does the flourish at the end? What, indeed, is this event? Thanks for your help, German speakers!

Best answer: The intro sez that hartling did a trick where he predicted the german stock exchange: Put his predictions in a sealed envelope for two weeks and they were correct to two decimal places and the DAX people were really amazed and haha he must be rich why is he here. Then hartling sez he doesnt know anything about data protection, and used to think why bother cos theres so much info out there... but just like the cube although theres a mill ways to solve it there are also powerful maths processes that let you solve the prob ie find the data you want as quick as....the flick of a wrist

And the event seems to be the awards for some sort of fighting Big Data prize

There are translated closed captions for that video in the settings.

Response by poster: Mmm, yes, but I didn't find those auto-translated captions terribly revealing.
