πŸŽΊπŸ’€ Call of Dooty: Skull Trumpet Ops III

Ignignokt and I are currently obsessed with the Skull Trumpet meme. In that vein, we're looking for the kind of dooty doot-doot trumpet music that Skull Trumpet might play.

Our knowledge of trumpet music is rather limited. But I do know that we want upbeat, peppy, bouncy stuff. The kind of stuff you'd sing with "doot" syllables rather than, I don't know, "wah wah" or "bzzz" or other trumpet onomatopoeiae. The dootier, the better. Herb Alpert is the dootiest we can think of. We want more!

The music doesn't have to be Halloween-themed or skeleton-themed or 2spooky (or even 1spooky). All that matters is doot doot.

Thank you, Mefites, and may Mr. Skeltal bless you with good bones and calcium.

The Super Mario Bros. 2 theme is another example of the dootdoot aesthetic, even though it doesn't have actual trumpets. Thanks in advance to any answerers (and to Mr. Skeltal)!

I can't trawl through YouTube to find it now but surely something fitting this must show up in Grim Fandago somewhere?

Yep, I'm also imagining Herb Alpert for this. I really can't imagine anything dootier.

Godspeed and thx mr skeltal

You have seen Mambo No. 5 with Mr. Skeltal, yes?

After much consideration my suggestion of record would be The Toasters.

William Tell Overture (Finale)

Also, robocop is bleeding is correct that the Cantina Theme (aka "the doot doot doot-doot song from Star Wars") is the dootiest. How much dootier could it be? None more dooty.

According to the tumblr tag, the consensus on Mr. Skeltal's dootiest theme is Timmy Trumpet & SCNDL - Bleed

I do not have any doots to add to this list. I just want to say thank you very much for this question; listening to the answers so far dragged me out of a deep little late nignt well of sadness.

Doot doot doot.

Take Five has five doots.

A lot of the output of the Brubeck Quartet would fit the bill.

It's not trumpet, but John Coltrane has to be in there too.

Wells of sadness are tough! All we can do about them is get enough calcium and thank Mr. Skeltal every day, really.

Herb Alpert is indeed dooty. And here you can learn how to do the dooty dance!

How about if the vocalists are singing "doot doot doodly ah do doodle"? You will want to listen to the Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, especially the version recorded by Andrews Sisters.
