Short, Funny, Educational Videos on Customer Service

Customer service is a big part of the work we do in my office, and I don't think we talk about the value of that piece of our work enough. I want to change that. To start, I'd like to show short, funny YouTube videos on customer service at my regular staff meetings.

When I say short, ideally it'd be about 3 minutes, although something extraordinary could be as much as 5 minutes. Something interesting that we could discuss after. My staff communicates with the people they serve via email and phone; in-person meetings are much more rare.

Thanks for any resources you can provide.

Best answer: I once was shown the airport scene from (I think) Meet the Parents in a customer service training, if you're looking for something on the sillier side.

Monty Python's dead parrot sketch is the first thing that came to mind for me. It's on the outside of five minutes but you could cut it off early and still get the gist of it.

Best answer: John Cleese (of Monty Python acclaim) founded a training company called Video Arts.

They have a very great selection of videos available! Here is a preview of their Customer Service Essentials course.

Here is a link to their website.

This is less directly useful and would be used as a springboard to actual conversation, but the Office UK "Training Day" episode is the first thing I thought of - here's one clip.

Bob Ferrell of the old time Ferrell's Ice Cream Parlors is my go-to when it comes to customer service. Everyone wants a pickle.
