How best to extend the battery life of my Galaxy S6

I'm looking for the best product - case or wallet - to boost the battery life of a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. My previous Galaxy had a removable battery so this was easy, but the sealed design of the snazzy new models means I need some options.

Amazon has a dizzying number of products, none of which stand out as being especially excellent. Are there manufacturers who excel in this area? Trusted names? I'm either after a protective case with built-in battery or a wallet-style design - again with integral battery - that will dramatically extend the device's usable life and offer some protection into the bargain.

Any recommendations hugely welcome. Aesthetics aren't massively important (although I would prefer it to come in black), but simply functionality is - i.e. the phone stays securely in the case, headphones can still be used, calls can still be taken). Am happy to spend a bit on quality. Thank you in advance!

I use a Mophie with my iPhone, which works fine. I get another day between charges, unless I make long calls or do anything network-intensive. There's a headphone adapter for the factory earbuds, but I use a pair of earphones with a narrow plug. I bought an extra power cable so that I can charge either at home or in the office.

Where batteries are concerned, Amazon seems to have an easy time selling counterfeit goods, which means no technical or warranty support. I'd suggest purchasing directly from Mophie or whichever company that makes the battery pack you decide to buy, to make sure you get what you're paying for.

Anker has a battery case for the S6. It's a trusted brand that gets a lot of praise for its external battery packs.

From that Amazon blurb for that Anker case: "Not compatible with the S6 EDGE model."

(I was looking for the same thing a few days ago - didn't have much luck :()

I have a generic portable power bank, the size of small phone - it works for my phone, my iPod touch & my ereader. I just leave them plugged in charging while using them.

Response by poster: In the end I went for the Mophie, which was pricey but seems well made and does exactly what I need. Thanks all.
