How to get a divorce quickly/easily? (Seattle, WA)

My ex and I have been divorced for years, but apparently the service we paid to file the papers hasn't and I'm just completely confused about all the paperwork and crap that goes with it. The ex is visiting my city in the next couple weeks - can we just walk into a lawyers office and get it knocked out? Anyone have a lawyer recommendation in Seattle, WA that will just take care of it so we don't have to do anything?

No accounts, debts or kids to split up. Just need to nuke the actual marriage thing and be done with it as quickly and easily as possible. Why the hell is this stuff so freakin' difficult? Is there a divorce for dummies kinda thing out there?

We've got the paperwork from the first try, but it was years ago so a bunch of stuff would need to be changed, so we should probably just start fresh and kill this thing.

This is actually pretty easy to do on your own, without a lawyer, in Seattle, particularly given that there are no real issues in your case. Once the necessary papers are done they need only be presented by one of you to the "ex parte commissioner" in the downtown courthouse. Or they may just be signed off on by a judge without either of you having to show up. You can find everything you need here and here (where I'd take a look at the "simple dissolution" link).

In Washington, no matter what county you're in, you can actually file in Lincoln County through the mail, and neither of you will have to go to court.
