Scanning slides and glass negatives on a budget?

Can you recommend a reasonably-priced scanner for 35mm and glass negatives?
I occasionally have 35mm and glass plate (various sizes) negatives and lantern slides that I need to scan, and I'm tired of shipping these off to have it done. Can anyone recommend a reliable, reasonably-priced scanner for the job?
Bonus points if you have hands-on experience w/the recommended scanner over time. Linux compatibility is a plus.

If pson V700 is the way to go if you want to scan anything bigger than 35mm (it does that just fine too).
