Recommend some good retweeters

Looking for some recommendations of good retweeters.
People with good original tweets are fine but I'm looking for those users who follow a ton of people and retweet the best stuff from a diversity of voices. Preferably not too prolific.
Topics could include.... news/politics, comedy, sports, movies, tech news, travel, weird and interesting Internet-related stuff, links, etc.

I think this question is way too broad. Just about everyone on Twitter has a specific issue area they follow or a bent on their perspective. One account that retweets good content across all issue areas is not something I think will be easy to find. I would focus instead on finding a good follow or two from each issue area you're interested in -- I don't think sports, travel and politics are going to overlap that often in a quality way.

Response by poster: Sorry, not one account across all those subjects. Some might specifically be politics, sports, etc.

That's really broad, still.
Are you interested in darts? Baseball? Sumo wrestling? Handball? Sports is super-vague.
Politics? UK Labour leadership contest? Danish immigration debates? US presidential race? Australian right-wing identity politics?
The more specific you can get (i.e. "I'm looking for great RTers on Samoan rugby teams or someone interested in covering Canadian land politics") the better.
I am not trying to be annoying here, but people won't stand a chance with really broad categories. It's like asking "Hey, I like to eat food. Serve me something I'd like." - you know what I mean?

Response by poster: Tace is on the right track. Best of the web, U.S. politics and news, pop culture, retweeting weird Twitter humor...
Some examples:
Romenesko retweets politics and journalism-related stuff
murrman5 retweets a lot of weird humor
It could easily be stuff I don't even know that I am looking for. Who is that power user in your feed that retweets interesting stuff? Maybe it is about sumo-wrestling Danish immigrants. That's ok.

I'm on Twitter as tace if you want to poke thru my follows and my lists--I see you already know the joy that is following MST3K alumni. I use Twitter the same way you seem to be looking for--curating a feed full of interesting tidbits of information and conversations I normally wouldn't come across. I can follow a retweet down into the rabbit hole and come out having learned something. The trick seems to be finding the power users who link large groups together, by interest or POV or even a fandom.
I've been following @cleolinda for a long time (since livejournal days). She's a hilarious writer/reviewer/recapper and her feed makes for a really entertaining window into fandom. Plus she rocks.
My latest twitter joy is @thecatreviewer, found via @kenlowery (another funny writer who I think I found from @cleolinda).

@BoingBoing and @LaughingSquid are also pretty entertaining.
