I've got next week off, and have been too busy to plan anything until now. I want to get out of Montreal for the week, but I don't have that much money. So, Camping! I'm carless, so limited to transit + walking. I'd love to feel like I'm out in nature at the campground, but I'll also probably want to eat in a restaurant for dinner most nights and maybe go to attractions in the area if they're also accessible. spot recommendations within a ~6 hour bus or train trip of Montreal?

Woodall's is my go-to for organized camping when We want to play with tents. A lot depends on your transportation vectors.

You may also find that Airbnb has some inexpensive options that may work for you.

If you want attractions consider catching the bus to Lake George. There are tons of camping sites, many of which have pools, stores and restaurants, at varying distances from attractions. Closer to home you might consider Shawinigan.
