Waterproof mattress cover recommendations?

MeFites, I'm looking for a mattress cover for a twin bed (i.e. something going under the fitted sheet, but above the mattress and memory foam topper). I've spent a couple of hours (!) browsing and they all seem to sound the same, but I don't know which actually work well (especially waterproof-wise). I'd love to hear any of your recommendations from personal experience. Specific requirements for my situation inside.

The most important quality that it absolutely must have is to be waterproof, as it is for the guestroom bed where my elderly (and occasionally incontinent) cat likes to sleep. If possible, I would also like it not to be crinkly-sounding or plastic-feeling, or anything else that might disturb a person sleeping on the bed. Dust mite protection would be an extra bonus, as possibly would bed bug protection (I don't have the latter, but better safe than sorry and all that). Any recommendations from personal experience? Links to Prime-eligible Amazon products available in the US especially welcome.

Response by poster: Wow - apparently I totally missed that recent question! I've been overwhelmed with work recently and haven't been around these parts as much. Thanks for the link!

We have this one for our toddlers twin bed. We liked it so much we bought two. Not plastic feeling at all and not crinkly. Dust mites too.

I use one on all the mattresses, and it worked well with potty training children and pregnant me. It is slightly spendy but it washes well and has lasted years. Here is the link to Luna.

We have this one on my kiddos bed and it's worked well. We paired it with one of these put on the most likely accident places just in case (plus it allows us to just change that or remove that if necessary. We haven't had any issues with it and it has been tested.

I have the Luna one too and really like it. Definitely waterproof, no crinkling. Has survived dog accidents and other things.
