iPodFilter: How do I get my library to fully sync with my iPod?

I was able to get all of my songs off my iPod into the appropriate library in iTunes, however after adding new music and attempting to sync my iPod not all of my songs were transferred back to my iPod. The playlists still show up, but the songs won't play.

Under the "iPod" tab in your preferences, is the sync option checked?

In the library window, do all of the songs have a checkmark by them?

Have you been poking around inside the hidden music folder? My random guess is iTunes is not copying the songs because it thinks its copied them already, but you've deleted them. Use iPod Updater to nuke your iPod's hard disk, and you should be fine.

was "copy files to library on import" checked in the advanced preferences?

if not, itunes just stores a symlink to the file. if you then deleted the files off the ipod somehow, they are gone.
