My pictures from my iPhone won't show up in the photos app on my computer.

I have an iPhone 5 and a 2010 macbook running yosemite. iCloud is off. When I import pictures from my iPhone, they show up in the imported tab and and albums not but in the photos tab. I've previously had no problems with it showing all my pictures in the main photos view (my last import was 07/31/2015). Is there any way to see all my pictures in the photos view?

Don't like iCloud, don't want to use it.

Do you have a Dropbox account?
I LOVE that you can have Dropbox create a folder called "Camera Uploads" and it will automatically upload any recent, not already uploaded photos, to that folder, ready to go.

To do this, go to the Settings within Dropbox. Go to "Camera Upload" and turn it "On", then turn on "Background Uploading".
This way you can avoid iCloud, iPhoto, and anything else i related that you don't like.

If you don't want Dropbox doing background uploads, you can turn it off, but you'll have to open the Dropbox app on your phone each time you want to upload photos.

What pictures do you see in the "Photos" view? Do all your photos show up in the "All Photos" album?

I would try to repair your Photos Library first to see if that fixes things.
