How do I move an iPad movie file to a PC flash drive?

It sounds ridiculously simple, but someone videoed a performance of me. She thought she'd send it via e-mail but that would mean breaking it up into several pieces. I thought she could drag and drop it onto my flash drive but she says, no, iPads don't have drag and drop. Go ahead and talk to me at a beginner's level since clearly I am there.

Do you have a computer available?

(on OSX): plug in ipad, import vid into Photos. Find the source from the instance in photos and then drag/drop to flash drive.

She needs to plug it into her computer and browse the files. (If she's using a Windows PC, when she plugs the iPad in she'll get a dialog box popup that asks her what she wants to do. She wants to browse files.) I forget how the file hierarchy looks on iP-d products, but it's absolutely there, findable, and drag-and-droppable. I've done this many, many times.

If she has quite a few photos on the machine, once she locates the camera files it'll probably be helpful for her to sort by file size.

If she has a dropbox account or another file sharing service, she could upload it there and then email you the link.

Dropbox would be the easiest way to get what you want done. iPads don't have a file system per se. I mean, they do but it's obscured and only available to people who jailbreak (hack) their iPads which is not most people. You can exporrt files only in a few fairly standard ways and for really big files Dropbox (or iCloud if she has it) is the quickest simplest way.

Response by poster: I thought of the cloud, too, and she's going to try that. Thanks, all.
