Roland Demo CD?

In the 90's, I had an audio CD which was a demo containing an albums-worth of tracks done by various studio musicians on (what I remember to be) Roland products. Help me find it again!

I remember that the liner notes contained some facts about this CD, such that it was one of the first CDs to be produced fully digitally (DDD) and that when doing the mastering, they had a two-track digital stereo tape which they had to splice by hand when it broke.

In any case, I lost the CD before having a chance to rip it, but I remember some of the tracks being quite good.

Does anyone know where I can obtain this album again?

Best answer: Was it this? There's a little about it here and a couple of tracks from it are on Youtube.

Best answer: If it turns out to be Eric Persing's "Roland: A Sound Approach," you can see a track listing and more information here. If not, here are three other candidates from Roland.

Best answer: And just in case you're looking for the liner notes, including a mention of a two-track digital tape and razorblade editing.

Response by poster: Well, that didn't take long! It's definitely "Roland: A Sound Approach."

I recognized the cover immediately. The liner note section about the razorblade editing was exactly the bit I was remembering, and the "Just Kidding" track flooded me with pure late-80's early 90's nostalgia!

Thanks!
