Not everyone's cup of tea

I am trying to fulfill a Christmas request for tinned/canned tongue.
Someone on my Christmas list (who is originally from England) is craving tongue – specifically the type that comes in tins. I am in New York City, and will be giving the gift in New York City. Is there anywhere in New York or that ships to New York that sells ox or lamb tongue in tins?

Best answer: The folks that run A Salt and Battery and Tea and Sympathy (at Jane and Greenwich) also have a shop that sells strange British foods that come in tins, as well as the full line of Cadburys and teas. It's always full of Brits, and it'd be worth giving them a call: 212 989 9735; 108 Greenwhich Avenue.

Response by poster: Thank you both for the suggestions. Alas, I have not had any luck yet, but I am happy that I now have a few more British food resources in New York . Myers of Keswick was actually my first resource -- my inability to get tongue there drove me to post this question...

Online, you might try a special order through British Delights, The British Shoppe, or take a look at the sponsored links column on Google.
