MLB.tv blackout workarounds?

(Asking for a friend): I am a Chicago Cubs fan living in NC, which means that I don't fall within the blackout restrictions put in place by mlb.tv. The league blacks out games that fall in the "home area" of a team; for NC, those are Atlanta, Cincinnati, Baltimore, and Washington. ATL and CIN are not a problem, because those games are shown on local cable; however, the other 2 are not. Anyone know of a way around this? I have Preferred TV cable package w/Time Warner (only choice in my area). Would rather not have cable at all. Thanks.
