Fairy Tale Podcasts

I love fairy tales, myths, and legends. I also love listening to people tell stories. Can you recommend a podcast or other something of that sort which will provide me with a regular dose of people telling me stories?

Things I'm looking for: engaging telling of traditional fantastical stories from around the world. Especially if it includes stories outside the realm of the standard Grimm/Perrault/Andersen, though those are fun too.

Things I'm not looking for: audiobook readings of stories, true stories, modernized or fractured fairy tales, bowdlerized or sanitized fairy tales.

Thanks very much!

I feel like I have finally been bested as an avid podcast listener (brought to you by audible.com) but you have kind of stumped me. The closest thing I can think of is this one called Imaginary Worlds, which is a great story telling style podcast but it's more about the stories behind the creators of sci/fci, fantasty, etc.

Podcastle is a fantasy fiction podcast. It's wonderful!

Whoops, I just noticed that you are looking for traditional tales only. My apologies for not reading carefully.

Response by poster: xenization: thanks, that looks cool, but I'd prefer someone telling the stories, rather than reading them.

Damn. I know the answer to this because I've just erased a bunch for being too graphic for my preschooler, tons of traditional fairy tale stories on iTunes podcast.

Search "kids" "children story" "stories" etc., and a lot of podcasts in this vein turn up.

OR

Search for a story in podcast that you like a lot (my go to is Rikki Tikki Tavi) and check out the podcast content of whatever shows are returned from the search.

The Seal Maiden is just a one off but it's really lovely. If you don't want the music you can just click on the dialogue bits. I know this is not what you asked for but it's one of my favorites and I think it's kind of a must for fairytale fans.

Storynory is perhaps what you are looking for. Also, you might like Sharon Kennedy who is an amazing storyteller of Irish Folk tales. I don't know if there is a podcast for her, but her work is definitely available on iTunes.
