Help me hear a pin drop so I can talk on the phone at work.

What is the best mobile phone headset (with mic) setup for whisper-quality phone calls in super noisy environment?

I just moved to a new office with very loud construction noise and noisy neighbours. I'm used to working in total silence and having a tough, tough time adjusting. I can't seem to tolerate trying to talk on the phone which is mission critical to the work I do. I guess I'm one of those people who can't really concentrate on the phone unless it's super quiet...

Looking for an over-the-ear telephone headset with a great mike and superlative noise cancelling. To work with iPhone.

There are a lot of askme questions on noise cancelling headphones, I know, but none nothing recent for telephone headsets specifically.

So far I've narrowed it down to:
Sennheiser HME280 Circumaural Noise Canceling Headset
Undecided which, but something from The Boom

Does anyone have a setup they love? Thanks for any/all suggestions!!!
Can't move office, so that's not an option, and am going bonkers.

Best answer: Keep in mind that talking on a noise-cancelling headset can be really disconcerting. I have the Bose QC's which I normally just use as headphones. I tried using them for a phone call and I had to switch to a different headset because it was too weird not being able to hear myself properly. It's possible that you'd get used to this, but it's something to think about.
