Jobs in China for seasoned, experienced sales/marketing guy?

I will be in southern China (HK, Shenzhen, Guangzhou area) for the next 2 years with a spouse and would like to land a job myself. I want to combine my interest in exporting from China with my 20+ years in international sales/marketing with IBM, Lotus, and other IT companies. Would my sales and marketing stripes be attractive to a trading company who needed an older, polished, confident male to interface with English-speaking prospects or clients? Willing to be employee or freelance. Thanks.

Where will you be based? What passport(s) do you hold? Visa regulations for HK and China differ as they have separate immigration departments and the right to work in one is not a right to work in the other.

I hate to ask this, but are you white? If yes, you shouldn't have too much trouble. If not, good luck!
