Indesign quarks the photo

InDesign: why would the file name be visible within the photo placed in a doc?

I placed the jpg photo in my document and at the top center of the image is shown the file name.
I open the photo in PS and the file name is not there, naturally.
It's not a caption, and there's no text layer beneath it.
All the other photos I've placed in the doc behave nicely.

Never seen this before.
Any ideas?

When you export to PDF is the text still present?

Is it still there when you view it in presentation mode? (shift-W, I think; it's been a while)

If not, InDesign probably thinks it's being helpful displaying some metadata. I'm guessing it's something in the file's exif data, a duplicate of the filename, not actually the filename. (You could check this either with an exif viewer or by changing the filename.)

Response by poster: Still there when creating a PDF. (That's actually what prompted me to ask the question).

Well, I've found more details...a small corner of the image is covered by another image.
Moving the images so they're not overlapping removes the filename data.
Quite a design limitation.
I don't really need more explanation than that.
It's strange that this data would show up when exporting to PDF or print, I suppose there is a toggle for that within ID, Acrobat or print presets.

Thanks
