Your calendar event has been rescheduled to the exact same time. (Not)

I use Google Calendar. My colleague uses Outlook. Whenever he re-schedules a calendar event, I just get an email with the old event time. Help?!

Snowflake details: I forward my mail from a Microsoft Exchange account to Google Apps. Everyone in the company has both of these accounts and uses whichever email system they prefer (the majority use Outlook).

When people invite me to a calendar event, I get an email with the event details and a link to click to add it to my calendar - great.
When someone changes that event, however, all I get is an email with the previously scheduled event details - and not the updated details. I can't find the new event times anywhere in Gmail or Google Calendar.

Are there any possible workarounds for this, while still using Google Calendar? Googling for solutions is, ironically, failing me here.

For what it's worth, I have faced this Outlook/Google dragon and lost. The manual workarounds I came up with put the burden on the sender. Either 1) cancel and create a whole new invite instead of rescheduling, or 2) delete/re-add the Google-users after rescheduling.

In my case, I could identify the Google-users because they all used an email domain that differed from other invitees, but I still always had to remember to handle it. It's a bummer of a bug.
