XM radio now playing?

XM Radio: Is there any way to find out the artist and song title of the currently playing song from a web page, either on XM's site or elsewhere?

Specifically, XMU (Ch. 43). I recently acquired access to XM Radio music channels through DirecTV. While the song info eventually comes up on screen, it's not good for my TV to leave that static box up, so I usually turn the TV off and leave the audio running through the stereo.

I'd like to be able to look at the computer when I hear a song I like, esp. when I'm out of the room. Since I gain access through DirecTV, I can't log on to xmradio.com, so it would have to be on the "public" site or another site entirely.

Yes, I think. I'm not sure what brand of XM subscriber you are with your DirecTV set up. For subscribers, you have to register for the site using some information like the serial number of your player [I'm not sure what your equivalent is] and your zip code that matches your registration. Then you can go to this page where you can get what's polaying and/or listen through the web page itself. I like this a lot better than the PoS Roady player that we got. Then again, we can't listen to the laptop in the car.

Response by poster: Hmmm ... listing seems to be frozen, though.

Best answer: XM411.com has a nice Flash channel list that refreshes song info and can be easily launched in its own window.

They've also got a useful stand-alone app that does the same thing. You can find it here.

By the way, if you're listening online, you might like XaMp Desktop. I prefer it to XM's interface.

Those look like some handy links... I don't suppose anyone has an equivalent for Sirius?

Response by poster: Alex, I found just such a site in my initial googling for an XM equivalent:
