Need cheap small laser level for a game

I have a board game that uses line of site. I could use string, or a rubber band to measure line of site. But I want to go over the top and use a laser that would put a line on the board--for perfect accuracy. But I need a small cheap one. The keychain lasers or pointer lasers don't seem to do this, I think I need a laser level. Any suggestions for small cheap-o laser level?

I do not want to be mistaken as a shill, but I've purchased several laser items from this place and have been pretty happy with them.

There's also a boardgame called Khet that uses a laser. Perhaps you could keep an eye out for a cheap copy?

Keychain laser pointers will often have "masks" you can put over the end of them to project shapes - a line is a common one.
