Searching for trilingual narratives project

Maybe ten years ago I read about a trilingual narratives project. The person who created the project had people who spoke at least three languages write a short personal narrative in each language and then go through each one and choose the “best” word for each idea, creating a custom language unique to their experience. I have searched high and low for any reference to this project and keep coming up dry, so I turn to you, MeFi. Has anyone heard of this project? In the event that I dreamed it, I call dibs. (I’m pretty sure I’m not smart enough to have made this up, so it’s got to be out there.)

Response by poster: It was a number of languages--each participant spoke English, but the other two languages they spoke were all different. I think one might have been Brazilian Portuguese, one either Norwegian or Icelandic, maybe Thai...it was all over the place, which is one of the things that made it so interesting.
