Where can I buy a six-pack of Terrapin Rye in New Orleans?

I'm flying out of New Orleans tomorrow and for nostalgic reasons would like to get a six-pack of Terrapin Rye to bring with me before leaving. I'm staying downtown near Canal and Chartres -- is there anywhere around here that has it? A Rouses, maybe?

I don't have access to a car, so it would be great if there's a place in walking distance from downtown. I'm also assuming that there are Terrapin six-packs for sale in this state, since I see they expanded to New Orleans in 2014, but maybe I'm wrong. Happy to provide any other information if helpful.

I am relatively new to town, but the best selection I have come across was at Dorignac's... It looks like you can email their booze guy.

Best answer: Not familiar with this specific brew, but the Rouse's in the CBD has a pretty good beer department -- it might also be worthwhile to check with Keife, which has a small but impressive beer selection.

It also looks like you can contact Terrapin's local distributor to find out who carries it.

Best answer: I'd definitely check out the CBD Rouse's, which is totally walking distance from your hotel.

Best answer: You might try calling Stein's Deli on Magazine- they have a great beer selection and they're easy to get to on the Magazine bus or the St. Charles streetcar, if the CBD Rouses can't help you.

Response by poster: Thanks all. I tried the CBD Rouse's, which did have it, but a) had only 1 six pack that was b) missing one beer and c) was expired. Stein's is sadly closed on Mondays, and I couldn't make it further afield to other Rouse's and the Dorignac's. Thanks all!
