Can I take my violet wand on the plane?

Have you ever flown with a violet wand or Neon Wand? Did you check it or carry it on? How did it go? I'm interested in personal experiences only, please, not conjecture, and I'm aware that shipping it is an alternate option. I've flown with kinky sex toys before, and I'm perfectly comfortable saying, "Yes this is my kinky sex toy" to whoever asks, but this one's a little extra weird, and would also be extra-disappointing to lose.

I know you don't want conjecture, so thought I'd simply share this:
TSA's list of prohibited items.
Don't these have practical purposes, ie for skin care? So, you don't have to have a "it's not my bag, baby" moment...

Response by poster: I've seen the list, and "Other Dangerous Items" (as well as pretty much everything else) is always up to the discretion of the individual TSA agent. Regulations don't give me enough information. Also, I assume that if they considered it a dangerous item, it wouldn't matter whether I was using it for skincare or kinky sex, it would still be an issue. And I'm a sex educator, and so have zero issues saying, "Oh hi yes that is my kinky sex toy I use it for kinky sex."

Best answer: I've flown with mine in checked luggage quite a few times.

As long as it is not illegal, anything that the TSA considers dangerous and stops at a checkpoint can be mailed somewhere/anywhere if they deem it not appropriate to fly with. I have had to mail back one of my son's pocket knives and a really nice letter opener.

Even if you determine it is something that is likely to be ok, I would have a prepared mailer ready and leave an extra half an hour just in case you have to post it and get back on line.

Don't the full-sized ones all need wall current? Even with my unusual battery powered tech (including a sometimes problematically weaponish-looking recorder) the most they've ever done is ask for a quick explanation.

Response by poster: I ended up not risking it, but I was able to pack my Shock Ball (it's a children's toy! No, really!) without anyone blinking. If I try in the future, I'll report back!
