Murphy's Desk

I need to find a wall-mounted folding desk that can contain a 27" flat monitor when closed. Cord control/charging would be ideal.

I've found several attractive wall-mount foldaway desks, but they all seem to presume no external monitor. Can you recommend one? I need enough space for my laptop, monitor, and two pieces of A4 paper side by side. And it absolutely must fold away.

Budget: up to $300 CDN

Extra double bonus: adjustable height standing/sitting. I know this is asking for the moon but wouldn't that be amazing?

Hmm. Anther makes something like this, but it is way out of your budget (and seems unreasonably expensive for what it is).

It would be easy enough for a custom cabinet-maker to build something to your exact specifications. That would probably be closer to your budget, although I couldn't say how much. Making it height-adjustable would make it a lot more expensive.

You could maybe design something yourself and make it out of modular framing like this.

Have you seen these? this place has a few styles, not $$$ but they do the trick. Nothing adjustable.

Instead of going for an all in one combo. Find a desk you like and then get a Sit/Stand Wall Mount for the Monitor (OmniMount PLAY20X).

Or you could do what this guy did and make your own.

I would suggest any sort of wall mount for a television, and a folding ikea wall table such as:

You could try this place. Although none of the listed models are large enough, they say they make items to order, so perhaps they would custom-build something for you.

The ones I am familiar with are called Wallaroo workstations (by Carsten), but I don't know if they sell to individuals.
