CPU overclocking resources -

I recently built a pc based on a Core i7-4790K CPU and an ASRock z97 Extreme4 motherboard and I'd like to dip my toe into the confusing, but interesting, world of overclocking. Please point me in the right direction(s).
I've done a modest amount of reading and I've watched a few vids, but a lot of the overclocking world is either motherboard-esoteric (jargon! and different names by different brands) or sailing somewhat past my head.
The ASRock mobo comes with an OClocking tweaker program that I've played around with a bit (to the point of load-instability at ~4.7/4.8GHz), but I'd really like to become familiar with, educated about - and maybe hand-held through - the long list of overclocking elements available in the bios. And I'd like to learn which items to tweak, in which order, and which ones to leave well alone.
So I have things like Aida64, CPU-Z, HWMonitorPro, SIV64X as stress/monitoring programs, but I'm more of a beginner than possession of that list might suggest. I've been tinkering is all. I really have only enough knowledge to do some serious damage at the moment (good thing I paid the extra $25 for Intel overclocking insurance!) and I'm cautious enough that I won't play with the bios settings until I have a better grasp of things.
I have a dual push-pull fan arrangement with a Noctua NH-U14S heatsink fan, 2x 140mm intake and 1x140mm exhaust fans in the new Fractal Design R5 case; together with an 8gx2 set of Kingston 1866MHz ddr3 RAM sticks. So it's a pretty solid unit to be using as an overclocking base.
Please point out any beginner/intermediate overclocking articles or vids that you think might help me realise the latent enthusiast within.

Response by poster: Thanks Poldo, your suggestion was helpful and ended up pointing me to the OverclockNet's *Intel Devil's Canyon Owners Club* which looks to be a useful destination with respect to my general question(s).
