Help a victim of enhanced interrogation

I suspect it was my no-good brother who held my vinyl baby doll's foot over an open flame about 30 years ago...now my daughter wants to play with it and is unhappy with the state of the foot. There's a substantial hole/cavity in it. Picture. Any idea how to fix it?

I thought maybe sugru but it doesn't come in a nude tone. Not willing to spend a ton of money on this but maybe is there some kind of sticky modeling clay in nude tones that could be used to fix this? Doesn'T have to be perfect...but I don't want to go out and spend money on something that doesn't even stick or looks worse than it does now.

shoes would probably be the easiest solution.

Put a tiny cast (made from duct tape) or socks on it.

(My jerk of an older sister drowned my prettiest doll. My condolences for your having an asshole sibling.)

Second the cast. You can get duct tape in white.

Or you could hold it over a flame and try to bend it back into shape. With enough heat you might to able to squeeze the hole closed.

If your daughter is of the "put stuff in mouth" stage I would caution against Sugru or clay or anything that could come off and be a choking hazard.

Best answer: I have no idea if it would actually work but a non-VOC beige caulk might do the job and is relatively safe.

Sugru is a great idea! Could you perhaps (quickly) mix white, pink, and orange to get the right color?

3D-print a new foot for it and introduce your daughter to Aimee Mullins.

Best answer: I've heard of using apoxie sculpt to sculpt on top of vinyl figurines - so it might be usable for you. You can order it through amazon.

Best answer: Oven-bake polymer clay (Sculpey, Fimo, Premo, etc) comes in a lot of colors and is pretty easy to work with. Clean up the hole and mold a plug, bake it, and glue or epoxy it in really well. There's a kind that stays flexible after you bake it, which might be better for a vinyl doll, but it looks like you can only buy it in 8-color kits.

Best answer: Doll parts are easy to buy online! Get two matching feet and sew them on.

Etsy search and another one. Ebay will have some, too.
