Which Randy Newman song goes: "Where you going with your shoes undone ... throwing rocks making fun of everyone?"

I checked google but couldn't come up with anything. I've had it stuck in my head all day, and it is not on any of the albums I already have.

Best answer: I found one reference to the lyrics here (the only result from a Google search for "with your shoes undone"), but you're right, Google's coming up short. There's a song called "Change Your Way" on the Ragtime soundtrack, but since I can't find lyrics for that song on the official Randy Newman site, I wonder if it's an instrumental track.

Best answer: Damn you emelenjr, I just spent 10 minutes figuring this out. Anyway, I found the lyrics

http://www.randynewman.com/tocdiscography/disc_guilty/lyricsguilty4#changeyourway

Where you goin'
With your shoes undone
Throwin' rocks
Makin' fun of everyone
Little man you'll make a big mistake
Unless you change your way

Stayin' out late
Every night
Chasin' after streetcars and getting' into fights
Yeah
Son you're bound to break your mama's heart
Unless you change your way

All the teachers
At the school there
They know you well
'Cause you're always the worst one
You're always playin' the fool, I can tell
What's the matter with you little guy

Don’t you know
Take my advice
Before you do somethin' bad you'd better
Think about it twice
You're sure to end up on the shady side
Unless you
Change
Your
Way

Response by poster: Thanks, I tried late into the night.... Ended up being too tired for Mr. Newman.
