Guide to Gift Guides

In the vein of this question last year, I am canvassing for good 2014 gift guides.
Unlike the previous poster, I have not run into many yet this year and thus cannot link any but the standard NYT Gift Guidet. But what are some good gift guides - the typical, the unusual, the one your quirky aunt curates on her wordpress blog? Guides to Etsy stores? Magic. Guide to the best gift guides? The holy grail.
Things I am specifically looking for are books, fitness 'gadgets', toddler and teen gifts, bodybuilding boys gifts, gifts for grandmothers who like Turner Classic Movie Channel, things I am going to want to buy myself, etc. But please chime in with any good gift guides you've seen this season so far.

Here's largehearted boy's compilation of online 'best of 2014' book lists. It's mostly the usual suspects, but quite a few of them are from smallish, quirky sources.

Eater's 2014 Guide (Soap made from beer! Fancy condiments! Wine!)
The Guardian's guide is UK-centric but a lot of the pieces are available in the US or might be a good starting point.
Boingboing's unusual/tech guide.
Quite a fun under $25 guide, probably good for teen gifts and indulgent stocking stuffers.
Politics and Prose, an independent book store in DC, has great staff picks and they've rounded up some really interesting choices here.

The FiveThirtyEight Holiday Gift Guide was cool because it led me to the Nausicaa Distribution Etsy site.

Starting tomorrow, Mefi's Own jscalzi will be running his annual Whatever Shopping Guide. Day 1 is for traditionally published authors; Day 2 is for non-traditionally published authors; Day 3 is for other creators/crafters; Day 4 is for promoting by non-creators/authors; and Day 5 is for charities. There's generally a whole lot of suggestions generated.

The gift guides will be coming in the next 7-10 days. The previous question was posted on December 10th and most bloggers seem to wait until after American Thanksgiving which was just this last weekend.

CBC Holiday Gift Guide 2014 - unfussy site with nice recommendations. You can filter by recipient and save the list as a PDF, which is helpful if you want to print it out to take to your local bookstore.
