What is the name of that film I saw?

I am trying to remember the name of a film that I saw. It is Australian, made in the late 80s or early 90s, and is about the neighbour and the nurse trying to get an elderly man's family to help with his declining health. My Google- and imdb-fu are not worthy.
What I remember is:
- The film is a low-budget drama, set probably in Australia or possibly New Zealand.
- I saw it at a repertory cinema in California in the late 80s or early 90s, so it was probably produced in the late 80s.
- The central character is a little old lady. She lives in her own apartment next to a little old man. She is pretty independent, but a nurse comes to check in on her every week. The nurse is having an extramarital affair, so every Wednesday, the little old lady takes the little old man out for a walk so that the nurse can meet the lover in the apartment.
- The little old man's health starts to decline. Most of the body of the film is about the struggle the little old lady and the nurse go through to get some attention from his family.
Other details are:
- As I recall, we hear almost nothing more about the nurse's affair... it is probably there to establish how worldly and accommodating the little old lady is.
- There is a model of a WWII four-engine British bomber on the little old man's side table, implying he is a Bomber Command veteran.
Thank you in advance for any help identifying this obscure little gem of a film.

I think Youremyworld has it, can you mark as resolved?

Response by poster: Unfortunately, 'A Woman's Tale' is not it. 'A Woman's Tale' is about a woman dying of cancer, and the film I am trying to remember is about a healthy woman trying to get help for the man who lives next door when his health takes a turn for the worse.
